Belilena Cave

Belilena is a cave, located 8.8 km (5.5 mi) from Moksha. It occupies a very special place in the cultural heritage of Sri Lanka. Evidence of prehistoric human presence as early as 32,000 years ago was recorded at the site. The 16,000-year-old skeletal remains of the Homo Sapiens Balangodensis or the Balangoda Man had been found here.
