Hemantha Jayawardena- Owner/Director
Hemantha is an accomplished professional in IT, who always had a passion for the hospitality industry. After semi-retiring from the IT industry, he has devoted most of his time to build Moksha at Kitulgala. It started out as a holiday home for the family, but grew into a luxury boutique hotel since Hemantha and Janaki were awed by the serenity that the property provides, and wanted to invite guests who can understand and appreciate it.
Janaki Jayawardena- Director
Dr. Janaki is a Senior Lecturer at University of Colombo and a very accomplished academic in History. An avowed plant lover who has turned the rooftop at our home in Colombo into an Orchid and Rose garden, she always had a dream of having her own farm. Moksha at Kitulgala has provided her that opportunity with the help of our talented Team. She can talk to you about almost every plant, bird, animal, insect at our property just as much as she can talk to you about the history of the surrounding area.
